There are two immediate problems occurring; The first is that the barrel is lowered thus making the alignment between sights and bullet trajectory more apart. This is not severe, but still a factor to be considered. The second is that the reload-handle has to be bigger because it has to span both the magazine tube AND the barrel.

Also on a side note, I like the top-reload version as it allows the wielder to fully view the ports and mechanics of the gun. Aaaand you have a minor graphical error: the barrel is missing in the rills of the reload-handle...
